Texture

By looking at the loss or impairment of sight texture has to be a main focus as this is a main form of identification.
Texture is able to create a mood and a structure to a garment as it controls how it looks as it impacts the structure and fall of the designs.

Fur would add a thickness to a design, the design would be structured. The texture of the fur would be able to create an individual look if it was used in a innovative way.

By using leather in design again the garment would be structured as the material is thick and heavy. It would give a weight to a garment, meaning that not much fulness can be gained.
The texture to this material is the grain which is unique to each piece, and is also able to relate to my concept of skin.

WRINKLES AND CRINKLES

I like the image of the piece of paper above as its able to create grains in which could be seen as representing the skin grains, like through leather.

Paper can be used to create unusual textures it light and easy to work with when creating new shapes. The use of paper would also be able to create shapes which could be used for identification for someone with the loss of sight.

RIPPLES
These images are able to show how fabric can make textures when moved around and placed in different positions. When creating a garment these shapes and excess material could be sewn at the side seams to create a different and unique look to a design.
