Creating FACIAL Crinkles

To look at the creases and folds that can be created when the face is changed in shape, i have taken some photographs which shows that texture is not only created by ageing skin.

When designing i will be able to look at these images and take parts of the face which will be able to influence my garments. I feel that the four images are able to show very different shapes and also change the structure of the face and this idea could also be shown through design.
PROTECT ME

The above images show the face being hidden and covered by a gloved hand. The protection of the glove is not just of the hand but also the face in these photos, as the eyes are hiden and so are the facial features.
PANELED GLOVE

The above glove is able to show how a glove is created as the panels are visible through the material that is used and the different colours. This idea could be used through design to create a feature through the use of panels to separate a garment.
I like the material that the glove is made from as it is able to create a layer of quilting around the hand. When designing i feel that this material could be used to add emphasis on protection. I also like the material that is used because it is similar to that of a sleeping bag which is able to create a bag effect around the body to protect it.
 SIMPLE

The simple red glove is able to show the simple shape of a glove which then could be developed into a garment. Creating a simple but effective feature.

ME AND MY HANDS
ENTRAPMENT   CLAW   PAIN
FIST   FIGHT   ANGER
DIPS   RIDGES   POOLS
RIPPLES   SPIDER   LENGTH

All of the above images of a hand are able to show how different positions of the hand can create new lines, crinkles and ridges which could all be applied to the design process whether this is through the fabric, technique or how the garment is actually is designed.
